Fees and practical information
I like to be clear about costs before we begin. Fees are the same whether we meet face to face in Chelmsford or online.
Fees
Individual Counselling
£55
per 50 - minute session
Usually weekly, at the same time each week. We review how the work is going at regular intervals.
Couples Counselling
£75
per 50-minute session
Usually weekly, at the same time each week. We may begin by meeting for 90-minutes charged at £85.
Concessionary
£45
per 50-minute session
A limited number of concessionary spaces are available for students or clients on a low income.
Before we start
You are welcome to arrange a short introductory call before booking. It gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling and whether my way of working feels right for you.
There is no obligation to continue.

Payment Options
Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer. I usually send an invoice following each session, although I can accommodate alternative arrangements where possible.

Payment for the first session is required in advance.
Cancellation Policy
​I ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session.
My cancellation policy, including any fees for cancelled or missed appointments, is outlined in the counselling agreement provided before we begin working together.
Insurance Referrals
I work with a number of private health insurers and EAP providers. If you plan to use your cover, please check your policy, arrange pre-authorisation before we begin and tell me your details and any excess you'll need to pay.

When I bill an insurer directly, I charge their agreed rate, which may differ from my standard fee . The same applies to cancellation and missed-session charges, which may be higher than my listed price and are covered in the counselling agreement.
